Books for Spanish learners
I am happy to present you my 4th selection of book in Spanish. These ones are adapted to A1-A2 level, so they are mostly for beginners. Due to the fact that these books are not the same as others, (no author, sometimes just a story collection, no plot), I am not going to rate them.
“Las leyendas españolas y latinoamericanas” is a collection of Spanish and Latin American legends that might not even have authors, they were written from word of mouth. It contains twelve Spanish and Latin American legends on different subjects.
“The Cunning Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha» is a famous novel by the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes about the bankrupt nobleman Don Quixote, who imagines himself as a knight errant, who goes on an exciting journey with his faithful squire Sancho Panza.
I have a full length version of Don Quijote de la Mancha that I finished and, I can say, it is an interesting experience to read the original, although adapted, version of a book written in author`s native language. I recommend you do the same, because it is going to make a general perceiving of a text easier.
“Las historias más chistosas del mundo” is the book that contains many fun stories, including hilarious incidents with famous people. Generally, I don`t have any significant comments on this book, because it is a collection, which is an entertaining thing to read. Although, if there is a difficulty to understand the main idea and even some details, I would postpone this book until later. Because, when it comes to humor, it is highly individual for each person. This is simply my advice.
“Los mejores cuentos Españoles” contains seven Spanish fairy tales on different subjects — both magical and daily. They are distinguished by sparkling humor and exciting storytelling.
There is almost the same situation with the humor, although, this collection consists mostly of tales and stories about magic, imaginary world and ordinary life combined together, so this one is less difficult to understand.
In this edition, all 4 books` texts are adapted, accompanied by comments and reading comprehension exercises with answers. At the end of the book there is a small Spanish-Russian dictionary.
All in all, I hope my selection for Spanish learners was enjoyable to look through!
P.S. If you are not sure where to find these particular books, I recommend you to order on Flip.kz. – the website, from which I purchased 95% of my books.
See you soon!
